The 2021 annual meeting of the BAPO (British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology) will be held on 23/24 September in the Bramall Music Hall at Birmingham University. We are proud to announce that Sense Trading (MediSense) will also attend this conference with a small booth to show our smell and taste testing products. You are more than welcome to visit us!
BAPO International Speakers
BAPO supports clinicians, trainees and patients with an interest in the field of paediatric otolaryngology. During this conference there will be many international speakers.
The John Evans lectures will be delivered by John Russell, Professor of Paediatric Otolaryngology at the University of Dublin , past-president of ESPO and president elect of CEORLHNS; also by Adrian James, Professor of Otolaryngology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. In a new addition to the traditional programme, there will also be a presentation by the Reverand Cannon Mark Pryce, Chaplain to the Queen.
The two day conference programme features a diverse range of speakers from multiple specialties with international speakers from the UK, Ireland, Europe and America.
There will be multiple state of the art updates, five specialist panel discussions as well as a hotly anticipated session titled “Fighting Talk”. More information about the program can be found on the BAPO website.
Products which we will show
For this conference, we focus in particular on the smell and taste tests for children. These include the U-Sniff (ODOFIN) odor test and the pediatric smell wheel. In addition, the basic taste test which is suitable for testing taste in children.
In addition, we will also show the basic odor tests such as the extended test with Sniffin’ Sticks (ODOFIN Burghart) and the scratch-and-sniff tests such as the UPSIT smell test (Sensonics). The smell taining kits will not be missing either.
Do you ever take breathing gas samples from children? Then we also have breath-gas sampling bags for that which we will show at our booth.
