Multi-Foil Bags with Polypropylene Fitting

These multi-foil bags (also known as foil bags) can be used for air sampling. These gas bags are equipped with a single polypropylene fitting to which you can attach a tubing.

The foil bags are available in various sizes and are usually in stock.

Multi-Foil Bags

The name “multi-foil” says it all; these bags are made of multiple layers of foil (5 layers), providing extra protection against light and moisture. The foil bags are recommended for sampling low molecular weight compounds such as methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide, provided they are analyzed within 48 hours.

The gasses remain stable in these bags, unlike when they are collected in standard bags such as the transparent Tedlar sampling bags.

We usually have 0.5 to 25-liter bags with polypropylene valves in stock. If you need larger quantities, please contact us for an additional discount.

Foil bags with polypropylene fitting

These multi-foil bags are equipped with a patented 2-in-1 polypropylene fitting. This fitting combines the valve and the septum in one. Valve stem is 3/16″diameter.

• The bags are made of 5 layers of foil and offer good stability for low molecular weight compounds such as methane, hydrogen sulfide, CO, CO2, and many other gasses. The 5 layers are as follows:
  1. .0152” Nylon (outer layer)
  2. .002” Polyethylene (inner layer)
  3. .00035” Aluminum foil
  4. ADH
  5. LLDPE
• Total foil thickness: 4.3 mil (= 0.10922 millimeters)
• The multi-foil bags are the only gas sampling bags that can sample and store hydrogen sulfide.
• Maximum temperature 82°C, minimum temperature -30°C
• Sample stability up to 5 days (depending on the gas)
• Protective 5-layer foil minimizes gas permeability
• Protects light-sensitive compounds
• The multilayer foil material is robust yet flexible and both water and vapor-tight.
• The inner surface is inert and minimizes the absorption and adsorption of the compounds.
