Devex Multi-Layer Bags with Polycarbonate fitting

Devex gas sampling bags with a total of 11 layers of foil (PET, PA, aluminum, PE, etc.). These Devex multi-layer bags have a thickness of 120-140 µm. They have excellent strength and low permeability. The bags are equipped with a polycarbonate fitting to which a hose with an internal diameter of 1/4″ (6.35 mm) can be connected.

Devex multi-layer bags

Devex gas sampling bags are ideal for sampling and storing H2S, low molecular weight compounds such as methane, CO/CO2, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and inert gases that are not stable in Tedlar, Kynar or FEP. These flexible bags are water and vapour tight and protect light sensitive compounds. The bags are available with various fitting and valve options. They provide long sample stability with minimal absorption.

These gas bags consist of a total of 11 layers of foil (including PET, PA, aluminium, PE) with a thickness of approximately 120-141 µm. This is thinner than multi-foil (aluminium-plastic) bags and has better elasticity. The bags cannot become hard or brittle when cold, and are extremely strong with low permeability. At the same time they are chemically inert and stable. Especially when regular multi-foil bags cannot meet the requirements, the Devex bags are a good choice.

Polycarbonate fitting (stopcock valve)

These Devex bags are equipped with a single polycarbonate fitting, a so-called side-opening stopcock valve. The valve is located on the side of the fitting, to which the hose with an internal diameter of 1/4″ (6.35 mm) can be connected. The fitting can be opened and closed by turning the upper part. The fitting is also equipped with a septum so that you can also remove samples from the bag using a needle. The needle can be pierced through the septum.

Suitable for

The Devex gas sampling bags can fill the gas being of stable chemical properties,such as: pyrolysis gas, natural gas, coal bed gas, smoke dust gas, ambient atmosphere, technological process reaction gas. These bags can ensure that the low concentration(PPM) component is constant for 1-3 months. They can also be used in sampling and detection for non-methae total hydrocarbon gas. Suitable for low level of hydrogen(H2), oxyen(O2), nitrogen(N2), argon(Ar), methane(CH4), carbonic oxide(CO) and carbon dioxide(CO2).

Not recommended to use for the gas with high chemical, corrosivity and strong oxidizing property such as: hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen oxides, strong basicity gas and halogens at low ppb level.
